Rushville Township is one of twelve townships in Rush County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, its population was 8,264. The latitude of Rushville is 39.609N. The longitude is -85.446W. It is in the Eastern Standard time zone. Elevation is 958 feet.

The community was named for Benjamin F. Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence.[3]
